A Harare woman sought protection of the court saying she has lived under the mercy of her husband during their marriage.

Naomi Mupamhanga applied for a peace order against her husband, Loveson Megisoni, and told the court that he was disturbing her peace and that of their minor child.

“We have a child who suffers from a heart problem and he always insults and harasses her. This also affects me emotionally.

“At one point he evicted us from our matrimonial house and we lived in the streets for 11 days.

“He insults me with obscenities and then threatens to kill me,” she said.

Loveson was not in court to tell his side of the story and magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the peace order in default.
