A HARARE woman has been granted a protection order against her daughter, who insults and harasses her.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the order to Laura Ndlovu, against her daughter, Nomsa Ndlovu, at the Harare Civil Court yesterday.

Nomsa was ordered not to visit her mother’s house and to stop insulting and harassing her.

Laura told the court her daughter lacked respect and did not treat her as a mother. She also accused Nomsa of stealing her property.

“My daughter harasses me and it pains me a lot.

“It is believed that when one has a daughter, she has a friend, but with my daughter it is different and I don’t understand why.

“I no longer want to see her at my house,” said Laura.

Nomsa did not oppose the application.

“Every time my mother has a misunderstanding with her relatives, she wants me to intervene and if I don’t, she starts accusing me of not loving her.

“That’s the source of our problems. I no longer stay with her, I stay in Glen View and we are not in good books. I have even blocked her,” said Nomsa.
