A HARARE woman, residing in a police camp, is in trouble after she allegedly connived with her friend to poison her employer.

Thandiwe Mandibaya appeared in court yesterday charged with attempted murder.

Mandibaya allegedly connived with her friend, Nyaradzo Gosha, to poison her employer because she had delayed in paying her salary.

Mandibaya allegedly instructed Gosha to add rat poison to her employer’s Mazowe Orange drink, oats, baking yeast, Amarula drink, Aromat and fenugreek seeds.

Gosha’s employer returned from work and discovered the offence when she tried to drink the Mazowe Orange crush.

The drink allegedly smelt bad and she suspected it had been tampered with.

She confronted Gosha who admitted to poisoning the food and implicated Mandibaya.

Gosha has already appeared in court.
