the Gilberson and Page Tournament and the A & B Triangular series.
The tournaments will be played in Zambia from May 27 to June 6.
Helen van Rensburg, the Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Union public relations manager, said the teams were made up of the best players available.
“Claire Minter will captain The Gilberson and Page team that will be compete against Zambia and Kenya in the singles and foursomes matchplay format.
“The and A & B Triangular series Division A team will be led by Polly Crew and will see Zimbabwe play Zambia and Botswana in a singles and foursomes matchplay format as well.
“A Division handicaps range from 13-18.
“Marita Kahwema will be the captain of the B Division whose handicaps range from 19+,” said Rensburg.
She was also pleased that their junior policy was working in the union’s favour as several young golfers have made it into the teams.
“It is particularly pleasing to note that Yolanda Mubaiwa, Batsirai Tilowakuti and Shamiso Makwara are products of the ZLGU Junior Golf programme and have progressed to this level of selection.
“Virginia Vhudzi is also a product of the programme and we hope they will have good games,” Rensburg said.
