“All our preparations are going on well, the ladies needed to work on their aggression and a more positive style with the ball,” said Nkala.
“They had a difficult time against South Africa during their friendly encounter in May and we are happy that we were able to note the areas to improve on.
“I have liked the ladies’ attitude in camp. They are doing well and if they can only put what they are practicing into action, during the World Cup, we have a greater chance of winning.
“We have had a few injuries but all the selected players are fine and I have noticed that they have the potential.” The other group will have Sri Lanka, Canada, Japan and the hosts Ireland.
The Zimbabwe team will be captained by Ashley Burdett, who is confident that they will do well.
“Our preparations are going on well, we have a good team and I am sure we will win, “said Burdett.
Champions Australia, England, New Zealand, West Indies, India, South Africa and Bangladesh have already booked their places for the T20 World Cup in June next year.
