ZIFA Southern Region Division One Women’s Soccer League will take a break in preparation for the forthcoming National Youth Games set for Bulawayo in August. Fixtures secretary Bhekinkosi Ndlovu confirmed that they are taking a break so that the Bulawayo women’s soccer team would have time to prepare for the Youth Games.

“As the hosting province for the Hational Youth Games, we have decided to take a break and give the coaches time to prepare the provincial team.

“We want them to do well and we don’t want the players to get injured as the games are getting closer,” said Ndlovu.
Bulawayo will host the National Youth Games from 17 to 25 August.

Meanwhile, Magwegwe Stars and Inline Academy will fulfill their game in hand today.
Magwegwe will be hoping to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat to Hwange Ladies on Wednesday.

Inline Academy coach Takudzwa Chimundiya is convinced his side can leapfrog Hwange Ladies to go on top of the log standings before the break.
“We are hoping to bounce back from our defeat to Hwange in our last game. We are just a developmental side so winning the championship will be just a bonus,” said Chimundiya.
