constitution and ratify it when they hold their Assembly at Zifa Village today.
The indaba, which brings together representatives of all the provinces and regions will see the councillors deliberate on the draft and then register it with the mother body in line with Fifa statutes.
The meeting comes on the back of a successful campaign by the Mighty Warriors who recently beat Zambia in the All Africa Games and are on the verge of booking a place to the Maputo Games.
The councillors will also be appraised of the fundraising efforts and synergies, which the board have been trying to create.
ZWFL chairperson Mavis Gumbo said also on their agenda is the proposed national league and the assembly will touch base on its viability, format and financial muscle to run the national league.
“Basically we would be looking at what the board has achieved. We will also get the reports from all the provinces. The board member finance will also table the finance report,” said Gumbo.
Also, the delegates are expected to discuss on the format of next week’s Independence Cup, which is expected to have playoffs in Harare and Bulawayo.
The indaba will also touch on women’s structure at grassroots level as well as strategic planning as the board seeks to sustain interest within women football.
This first council meeting is the perfect platform for women parliamentarians to dissect on their football, which is on the recovery path.
