A HARARE man has appeared in court on accusations of duping his employer of US$5 000.
Perseverance Zimbodza (29) was denied bail when he appeared before Harare magistrate, Yeukai Dzuda, charged with fraud.
He will be back in court today for trial.
It is the State’s case that on unknown data, extending from August 6, 2021 to August 7 this year, Perseverance unlawfully and intentionally tendered duplicate receipts to the accounts manager of Empire Pharmacy at Kamfinsa Shopping Centre in Harare.
The fraud was unearthed in an audit, which showed that Empire Pharmacy had lost US$5 000 to Perseverance.
A police report was lodged leading to Perseverance’s arrest.
