XIMEX Legends FC organiser Tonderai Karimanzira says social football is creating a lot of business opportunities for their players.
While some social football clubs hang out, and have drinks after matches, Ximex Legends will be sealing good deals on the field of play.
The team was established four years ago, as a breakaway faction, to accommodate others who were not getting game time, in the mainstream Ximex team.
They hire and give allowances to youngsters, who add depth to their team.
“We have secured more deals than what we expected when we started playing social football.
“It was never our intention to make deals during our matches, but our opponents are always seeing us as an easy way to get what they want,” said Karimanzira.
They played Elevators FC at the weekend.
Karimanzira has been around the social soccer circles for some time now.
Eleven years ago, he was playing for Goldtech, which was made up of the Ximex Mall dealers.
