Yabo eyes turnaround

winning again when they face Eiffel Flats in a Zifa Northern Region Division One match at Rimuka tomorrow.
Chauya Chipembere, who started the season on a good note, have only managed two points from their last three outings, drawing against DC Academy and BACA before losing to second-placed Mwana Africa.
Rhinos are currently third with 20 points from 11 matches and are trailing log leaders La Liga by five points. Saruchera acknowledged the importance of collecting maximum points to enhance their chances of staying within shouting distance of the leading pair in what promises to be a tight championship race.

“We have been playing well but it’s only the goals which have not been coming and we are working hard to improve. We need to start winning so that we can catch up with the log leaders without putting ourselves under pressure.

“After losing to Mwana, we drew with BACA last weekend and I’m sure this time we will get it right against Eiffel Flats,” said Saruchera.
The Rhinos coach said it was still too early to throw in the towel in the title race “because there is still plenty to play for.

“We are focusing on our games and it’s still early to talk about the championship because there is a lot to play for, the race is still wide open. We have targeted some players to beef up the squad and hopefully the results will start coming,” said Saruchera.

Rhinos will once again bank on the experience of such players like Lloyd Nyamadzawo, Lazarus Muhoni, goalkeeper Britto Gwere and Brighton Chandisaita.
But Eiffel Flats are not easy customers and the Kadoma miners will go into battle knowing that a win will draw them level on points with Rhinos.

They are currently on sixth place with 17 points and they boast of skilful attacking midfielder Gift Phiri who is enjoying good form. Elsewhere Highfield United will be hoping to maintain the form that saw them winning their last three matches, when they visit Karoi at Chikangwe. But a close battle is on the cards in Bindura where Mwana Africa, who suffered a 2-1 reverse receive Bigboy Mawiwi’s Harare City at Trojan.
