YADAH Stars are confident they will reach the Promised Land despite a goalless draw with Bikita Chida Athletic Club in the ZIFA Eastern Region Division One League at Lithium Stadium on Saturday.

The Harare side only needed a win to secure promotion back into the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

Yadah, who will meet Masvingo United on Wednesday in a rescheduled fixture, still have a chance to claim the championship.

Second-placed Deportivo La Murambinda now trail the leaders by two points.

Deportivo La Murambinda thrashed Bikita Minerals 4-1 at Uhera Stadium. They have one game left before the end of their season.

Yadah coach, Kudakwashe Masaraure, whose side missed several chances, was a disappointed man.

“So disappointing, we could have easily won this game considering the chances we created.

“We are going to work hard on our conversion rate.

“The boys played well from the onset but we were unlucky in front of goal. There are a lot of possibilities that we will finish off the race at our home stadium on Wednesday,” said Masaraure.

Bikita Chida Athletic Club coach, Valentine Mukusha, said the players did well to maintain their status as giant-killers

“What a game it was, we managed to stop another title contender at our turf.

“There is no team in the title race which has walked away with maximum points from our backyard and this is good for us,” said Makusha.

In the Northern Region Harare City capitalised on the draw between Black Rhinos and Chingwere to go top after they edged Zambezi Coal and Gas 1-0.
