Yet another award for Cohen

International Book awards sponsored by USA Book News on Wednesday for the book that was published in June last year.

Presenting the cook book to Acting President Joice Mujuru yesterday, Mrs Cohen said she was elated that she was raising the Zimbabwean flag high.

“I wanted to keep the family recipes of centuries ago from 1492 in Spain when we were expelled and put in exile and my family came from the Mediterranean in the early 1930s and since then we have established roots in Zimbabwe which is my home,” said Mrs Cohen, who is wife to Waverley Blankets director, Mr Victor Cohen.

“I want to make these recipes the way of life from a Zimbabwean view point that has never been done before. This is the first time that a Zimbabwean author has received four consecutive international awards worldwide for the best cook book.”
