The holidays are here, finally and life does not get any sweeter than this.
Not that we hate school but come on, don’t we all deserve a break once in a while. Ok, we are now on the same page on that one. We move forward. What’s up this holiday?
There is the Heroes’ Day celebrations coming up on Monday, making this weekend super long.
We know what that means, long hours of sleep, hanging out and basically doing nothing.
Like we do every other week, here are some suggestions on how you can make it rock:
Day out at the movies
With the holidays in full swing, there are a number of theatres that have promotions that are flexible for you guys so keep your ears to the ground in order to spend less for exciting blockbusters. Host a house party, most preferably in the afternoon. This should be with the blessings of your parents and making sure you do not annoy your neighbours.
Get together with friends for SOFT DRINKS, music and catch up this holiday. Do not get carried away with party hopping, least you land into trouble. Socialising online is an important part in the lives of teenagers and this week we look at some of the applications that are getting popular by the day.
While Facebook remains the leader in overall usage, it is losing ground to other forms of up-and-coming apps and social networking sites. Facebook usage among teens had dropped in the last few years and the reason: kids don’t like hanging at the same places with their parents.
These are some of the applications whose popularity is growing among teens and international celebrities *winks*.
Our favourite for this week is Instagram. Here is why.
Instagram allows its users to play professional photographer with filters, a cropping tool and focus options. Plus, you can see what your friends (and celebs) are up to through live updates. Unlike Facebook and Twitter, Instagram is a photo-only app that banks on creativity. “People love it because it shows a little bit of your personality and your life,” said Brianna Booth, a freshman at Barrington.
Since Instagram’s launch in 2010, heaps of knockoff apps have debuted. Still, most lack the massive following that Instagram has built. There is where to find everybody else. All you Apple lovers must read out the coming information as many rumours are coming for Apple iWatch. Apple is working on its final launching plans to release its new product Apple iWatch soon.
The smart watch is said to have a 1.3 inch screen while vibrant colours and combinations will be made available for girls!
And in the world of fashion killers, we are happy to report that African Prints are still the in thing and what is even better is how they are cool for both girls and guys. The flared African printed skirts are still a hit but what is even hotter in the streets are the shorter ones. Give them sass by opting for the bright colours and funky accessories like sherds, bangles and heels. You go girl!
The guys can join in on the fun with just a little bit of the prints by either sporting jeans with a bit of detail on them. A tiny printed waist coat can do the trick but it takes guts to work an entire printed blazer.
Reload that!
