You are powerful from birth

THE world in general is a place where most people are in search of power. The entire human race is looking for a way to control one another. That is where the nuclear race is coming from. Wealthy nations spend billions of dollars just on developing advanced weapon systems. Military parades are for this exact purpose, to showcase power.The search of power is why most people desire to be rich. The truth of the matter is that the poor are generally weak and can easily be exploited by anybody. In our societies, poor communities receive horrible service provision and they cannot complain because they are poor. They may actually get in trouble for complaining.

For the church such behaviour comes as no surprise at all. We have known for many years that towards the end there shall be a rise in wars around the world. War itself is birthed by undermining one another’s capabilities which is exactly what is happening now. Each nation believes it is more powerful than the next. What the human race does not realise is that we are born powerful because God gave us dominion on the earth. Dominion on earth does not mean we should dominate one another and make each other feel small. It means instead that we should dominate our area of gifting. It means you should be a force in the gift that God has given you and the world should use you as a point of reference. If we knew this we would not have to prove it to anyone how powerful we are.

Proverbs 18 verse 21

Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

We must come to the realisation that all things respond to the way you relate to them. The Bible says death and life are in the power of the tongue.

Meaning you are what you speak. If you continue to speak positively, you will begin to see positivity around you thus your life will take that form. The opposite is equally true, negative words give birth to negative life. Newton’s third law of motion says to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. But this applies to more than just motion. If I always speak positively, and push positive vibes out, the opposite is that I will always receive positive words and positive vibes. A positive mind will yield positive results most of the time. When you have a positive way of thinking, naturally you see something good in everything, even in situations where everyone is feeling pity for you, a positive mindset will see something positive in that and in no time bounce back ready for new action. Each time I went outside the country people would express worry regarding the state of our nation and ask how we are doing as a nation, I would wonder why the sorry voices when they asked this because Zimbabweans are a positive people.

The figures show that unemployment in Zimbabwe is at high rates but the reality in Zimbabwe is that very few people have nothing to do. Majority may not be doing what they want and most are not doing what they went to school for, but very few have nothing to do. I am proud of our nation because very few countries have people who are as industrious as us. I always tell people that 2008 era happened once in Zimbabwe and I assure you, it will not happen again because we have been schooled by it.

Proverbs 23 verse 7

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he

I love this part book in proverbs. It means speaking positively is not enough. It means one must also change the way they think because it is a true fact that you are a sum total of your thoughts. You are what you think. Look around you, everything you see regarding your life is a result of your thoughts.

Everything you see in the world began in someone’s mind as a thought. All buildings, cars, industries and even the clothes you wear began as just a thought. So you want to change your life, simply change your thoughts. The difference between a rich man and a poor man is simply thoughts. A poor man may view tithing as wasting the little money that he has on useless things. A wealthy man may view tithing as an investment into God’s purpose and every investment has returns.

Simple thoughts can determine the future of the world. Its not easy to achieve this type of thinking if you are one that always assumes the worst of everything but it is never too late to start to think and speak positively. One way to achieve this is to purposely begin to train yourself to be a positive thinker. You can do this by setting a reminder in your phone to remind you to speak and think positively every morning for 40 days. Do this daily and after 40 days you will be one that naturally will think and speak positively. When one that is ill confesses that “by his stripes we were healed” this is not only a confession of faith, but it also affects positive mindset in action. If one is ill and continually confesses that they are well, not only a spiritual transaction of healing takes place. But they become positively recharged and ready for action.

Think positively and watch what you say, you are a powerful person.
