You can convince God with good reasons

JOB 23:3-6
3] Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat! [4] I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments. [5] I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me. [6] Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
Job was lamenting that he did not know where the seat of God was. If he knew where it was, he wanted to go to God’s seat and have a discussion with Him. He would have filled his mouth with arguments or facts he wanted to present before God. Filling his mouth with arguments meant that he would have his facts put together in order to convince God.
Job had a complaint about why he was in his condition. He wanted to understand why he was going through what he was going through. He wanted to know to what end his troubles were. But he had to have his points and facts together.
He gives us a lesson that when you approach God, have your facts with you. When you come before God, don’t just blabber. God is willing to hear if you are able to speak. God wants to be engaged on the basis of His Word.
James said we do not receive because we do not ask. We do not get because when we ask, we ask amiss. We ask wrong. We do not ask according to the will of God. We do not ask according to the Word of God.
When you come to God, ask yourself if your motive to get the thing you want is pure. What is your objective for the thing you desire? If God will give it to you, what will that bring to His Kingdom.
Do you want to consume the thing in your lust? If you want a thing from God, why do you want it? Is it for His glory or its for you to become popular?
Produce your cause and strong reasons before God. Isaiah 41:21 says: “Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.”
Make a compelling case before God. Produce your cause. What is your case? What are your reasons for wanting the thing you want God to grant you?
God hears your prayer on the basis of His Word. If you ask for a fish, He will give you a fish. If you ask for bread, He will give you bread, but be specific about your claim.
Show Him how you will utilise the thing to His glory. You must test your motive and objective, first.
First, find the will of God; and then find your objective; and then test your motive and see if your motive is right.
Then, as Jesus said in Mark 11:24: “If you say to this mountain, ‘Be moved,’ and don’t doubt in your heart”, you can speak to the mountain.
As long as you got doubt in the heart, about whether it is the will of God, or your motive or objective is wrong, how is the mountain going to move? When you know that your motive is right, it is the will of God, and your objective is right, it has got to move.
Bring good reasons for your prayer request. God wants you to reason with Him. In Isaiah 1:18 He says: “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”God understands. Bring your reasons to Him. God wants to reason together with you. When Hezekiah was told to set his house in order because his death was imminent, he reasoned with God. He told God how he had behaved himself well and walked before Him.
He used that to reason, or bargain with God. His works were his bargaining chip. If he got more years, he would walk before God with integrity. God granted him 15 more years.
The widows used Tabitha’s good deeds as a bargain for her to be raised from the dead. If you die today, and the saints need to present a reason for your resurrection, what will they rely on? If you were the one to ask God to bring you back to life, what will be your reasons to sway God’s decision in your favour?
Whatever you desire, if it is in the word and will of God, ask. He will grant you your desire. Only have a pure motive and objective. You can convince God!
