HARARE-BASED youthful writer, Keith “MissQoutes” Marufu, says she published her book, titled “Leaves of Love,” after encouragement from the renowned Arthur Marara.
MissQoutes is an Advanced Level student from Goldhill College in Glen Norah.
She ventured into the arts industry in 2020.
Her dream became a reality when she met Marara, an author and motivational speaker, who advised her to compile her poetry.
After heeding Marara’s advice, she published her anthology titled “Leaves of Love” last year.
MissQuotes revealed that she was facing financial constraints to publish more books.
“As a writer, I struggle with financial instability as the income from writing is insufficient, especially for printing and other necessities.
“I am yet to launch another book due to financial constraints.”
The young woman recently released a memoir, titled “When I Grow Up,” a book which transcends the boundaries of trauma and healing. The writer passionately addresses experiences that have shaped her life.
MissQuotes is currently serving as a secretary for Pachedu Charity Organisation and is also a vice editor at Africa Yard Creative Magazine. The young artist has appealed to well-wishers and sponsors, who wish to give a helping hand, to feel free to contact her.
