Two drumming child prodigies from Drums Of Peace, Sibusiso (6) and his brother Sifiso (9) children of Lewis Ndlovu the groupa��s leader will represent Zimbabwe at the World Championships of the Performing Arts in Los Angeles next month.
Their invitation to the world meet says the two childrena��s dreams could come true if they prove their mantle.
a�?A lifelong dream will become a reality for the Performing artsA� Industry in Zimbabwe, for the first time, this year Zimbabweans will be competing against 60+ countries,a�? the letter reads.
The competition startsA� on the 7th of July running to the 17th.
All participantsA� should have arrived in LA by the 3rd of July. Their father, Lewis vowed to pull all stops to prepare his child stars for the big one.
a�?I looked at my boys with tears of joy flowing. I have never been this proud of them; representing Zimbabwe in the USA is huge especially for kids their age. God is opening doors for themA� and I am thankful,a�? said Ndlovu.
He has already started looking for money for their trip.
a�?I am already looking for sponsorship as each contestant needs about $5 900,a�? he added.
Kids will always be kids, in an event that they win, they already have plans for their loot.
a�?I will buy a bicycle for myself and another for my best friend. The best thing for me in this trip is that I will get to go to where the Spiderman flicks started,a�? said Sibusiso.
For Sifiso, its along the same line.
a�?I will buy a snare drum and sneakers,a�? he said.
A snare drum or side drum is a percussion instrument that produces a sharp staccato sound when the head is struck with a drum stick.
