Young Mighty Warriors Aim for Bronze After 5-1 Mauling

IT was heartbreak in Lilongwe as the Zimbabwe Under-17 girls were thumped 5-1 by a ruthless Zambian side in the semi-finals of the 2025 COSAFA Girls Championship.
The Young Mighty Warriors, who had shown grit and promise in earlier matches, were outclassed and outpaced as Zambia ran riot on Friday.
But it’s not over yet!
The girls now have a shot at redemption as they face Mozambique in the third-place playoff today at 11AM. Bronze is still on the table — and pride is on the line.
Can the girls dust themselves off and bring home a medal? All eyes on Lilongwe!
