Paul Pindani in CHINHOYI
A NEW musical gem has been born in Chinhoyi.
He is 17 -year-old music producer, Soganile Siasitumuzi.
Better known as Stylish, the teenager is the son of sungura musician, Jonathan “Mr Chinhoyi” Siasitumuzi.
In an interview with H-Metro, Stylish believes he is now a polished music producer who needs exposure.
“I have been following in my father’s footsteps,” he said.
“I have produced so many songs and I feel this is the right time for me to shine on the big stage.
“Music runs in our family.
“I feel at home in the studio doing what I know best, which is producing music,” he said.
Stylish said it was sad to note that young people were wasting their lives engaging in drug and alcohol abuse.
“I want to urge upcoming artists not to be swept away by the wave of drug and alcohol abuse.
“I want to appeal to the local authorities to create recreational facilities to keep the young people engaged,” he added.
Siasitumuzi urged music promoters to cast their net wider, especially in the grassroots, where musical talent is in abundance.
“Promoters must not concentrate on established artists only.
“There is a lot of untapped potential in this province,” he said.
His father, Jonathan, said Stylish has been amazing since he started producing music four years ago.
“Stylish has got a bright future ahead of him as a music producer.
“He is the one who has been producing my music. He is naturally blessed.
“He pays an attentive ear whenever you counsel him. He is very obedient,” he added.
Mr Chinhoyi urged artists in the province to work together.
However, he bemoaned the use of drugs by some artists to get high when they go on stage.
“There is need to help each whenever a need arises. It is also very imperative to plough back to the society,” he said.
