YOUNG Zimbabwean businessman and founder of Instant Solutions and Consultancy, Mr Jermaine James Chapfiwa, has been appointed Zimbabwe country representative and chairperson of the Zimbabwe Chapter of the International Trade Council (ITC), a development expected to strengthen the country’s participation in global trade and investment networks.

In this role, Mr Chapfiwa will lead the council’s efforts to support Zimbabwean businesses and institutions, spear-heading initiatives designed to advance international trade facilitation, attract foreign direct investment, strengthen SME export readiness, and deepen Zimbabwe’s integration into regional and global markets.
Following his appointment, Mr Chapfiwa on Monday confirmed to Zimpapers that he is already in Accra to participate in key ITC engagements this week focused on driving business growth and promoting trade across Africa.

He joins key delegates to attend the Ghana Investment & Trade Week 2026 (GITW 2026), and will witness the official launch of the International Trade Council Africa Headquarters.
His presence will expose Zimbabwe to associated networking, business matchmaking, investment promotion, and trade facilitation activities organized by the International TTC and its partners.

The events will take place in Tema and Accra, Ghana, from tomorrow (Tuesday 7–9 July 2026).
“Mr Chapfiwa will be attending in his official capacity as Zimbabwe country representative to support the council’s initiatives in Africa, engage with government and private-sector stakeholders, explore opportunities for regional trade cooperation, and strengthen commercial relationships between Zimbabwe and other African and international markets,” said ITC chairperson elect, Ms Ranjani Rangan, in a letter written to Ghanaian government officials for smooth travel facilitation.

According to the ITC, Mr Chapfiwa brings more than a decade of experience in international trade facilitation, business development, digital transformation, and investment promotion.
“As director of Instant Solutions and Consultancy, he has worked to support market access and commercial development for enterprises across Southern Africa.

His background in structured trade facilitation, supply chain optimisation, and the adoption of digital tools positions him to connect Zimbabwean businesses — particularly small and medium-sized enterprises — to the ITC’s global network of corporate members, trade intelligence platforms, and investor relationships,” said the agency. “We look forward to welcoming Mr Chapfiwa to Ghana and to his valuable contribution to these important international trade and investment engagements.”

Under Mr Chapfiwa’s leadership, the ITC Zimbabwe chapter is expected to establish a collaborative platform connecting local exporters, corporate entities, and policy stakeholders to international markets and investment opportunities.

Drawing on the ITC’s network of more than 28 000 corporate members across 176 countries, the Zimbabwe chapter will focus on delivering practical trade and investment outcomes — including export market access, investor introductions, business matchmaking, trade compliance support, and participation in ITC’s international events and trade missions — to enhance the competitiveness of Zimbabwean enterprises within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
