TWO Harare men have accused their father of witchcraft because he failed to seek spiritual assistance with them.
The sons, Honour and Richard Chibanda, claimed their father, Andrew, was the reason behind their misfortunes.
Andrew successfully applied for a protection order against his two sons yesterday.
“Honour accused me of being a witch after he went insane because of drug abuse. I sent him to his mother in Mt Darwin.
“When he came back, he said I was the one causing his insanity, and threatened me with unspecified action,” said Andrew.
He said Richard threatened to assault him if he didn’t accompany him to consult a prophet.
Richard denied calling his father a witch.
“We just sat with him and asked that we seek assistance from a prophet as to why I have four children with four different women, while our sister has five children with five different men?” said Richard.
Magistrate Sharon Mashavira granted Andrew the protection order against his sons.
