A HARARE woman has dragged her boyfriend’s wife to court over issuing death threats.
Mavis Munenge applied for a peace order against her boyfriend’s wife, Lynette Machona, accusing her of visiting her workplace to threaten her.
“On December 2, she came to my workplace and threatened me saying she’s prepared to go to jail after harming me.
“I told her that her husband, Kelvin, told me that they were divorced.
“On December 9, she came with her friend and insulted and threatened me saying she would visit a sangoma in Gokwe if I continue dating her husband.
“She came back on December 13 and told me that she had just returned from Gokwe,” said Mavis.
Lynette denied issuing death threats to Mavis, but warned her to stay away from her husband. “She said I was my husband’s ex-wife, yet I’m his wife. I begged her to leave my husband.
“I’m just asking her to leave my husband alone and stop harassing me,” said Lynette.
Magistrate Tamari Chibindi granted Mavis the peace order and warned Lynette not to approach her workplace.
