The Youth Empowerment movement is set to host a seminar on 30 November at the Public Library Auditorium in Bulawayo.
The seminar targeting youths will be free. Activities set to take place are games that facilitate critical thinking and question-and-answer sessions.
Running under the theme “youth explosion” the seminar is aimed at pushing young people to be able to get into their full potential, to be able to become who they want to be and effect a change in the city of Bulawayo.
Adrean Sibanda (23), founder of the movement said the inspiration for the seminar is to give young people the knowledge that they can become what they want.
“We believe in empowering young people; we believe empowerment not only comes in the form of giving resources but the greatest form of empowerment that can be given to young people is knowledge.
“I started this organisation when I was in High school, continued building it online after high school and this year we have hosted events such as financial literacy, launches and relationship series for the youths,” he said.
He said the seminar is targeted at every young person from the age of 18 to 30 years.
