The countdown is on to one of Zimbabwe’s most anticipated youth events of the year.
The Youth Summit of Zimbabwe International (YSZI) will host its Career Guidance Day on September 20 at the Museum of African Liberation, promising to ignite ambition, inspire dreams and empower the next generation of leaders.
This one-day conference will feature a dynamic panel of experts drawn from government, business, academia, and professional sectors. Doctors, lawyers, engineers, psychologists and other specialists will be on hand to share insights and answer pressing questions from young people eager to carve out their career paths.
“All youths are welcome, including students, graduates, government officials, school heads, lecturers and media organisations,” said the organisers. “It’s not just an event — it’s an opportunity to discover, connect, and grow.
“YSZI is a distinguished non-profit organisation devoted to nurturing leadership and equipping young people with the tools they need to thrive. Founder and Chairperson Ropafadzo Karen Banda believes this year’s Career Guidance Day will be a turning point for many attendees.
“The future of Zimbabwe lies in the hands of its youths,” Banda said. “This event is about guiding them towards their goals, opening their eyes to opportunities, and empowering them to think outside the box. With initiatives like these, we can shape a stronger, brighter Zimbabwe for generations to come.”
Banda also highlighted the importance of offering young people positive alternatives to challenges like drug abuse, crime, and idleness.
“By keeping youths engaged in platforms like this, we give them the chance to focus on their potential and contribute meaningfully to society. This is just the beginning — we will continue to roll out programmes that reach even more communities.
“The Career Guidance Day is free to attend, and promises not only to answer big questions about careers, but also to provide networking opportunities and inspiration that could change lives.
“This is an event you cannot afford to miss,” the organizers emphasized. “Come ready to learn, ready to be inspired, and ready to take a bold step towards your future.”
