YOUTHS in Manicaland have been challenged to contribute to the economic growth of the province and country by utilising local natural resources.

Newly-elected Zanu PF Manicaland Province Youth League chairman Cde Stanley Sakupwanya said young people’s involvement and active participation in pro-development programmes can drive the country to achieve an upper-middle income economy by the year 2030.

“Government has come up with various projects aimed at empowering people in pursuit of national development. The youth must embrace these and embark on sustainable projects anchored on Vision 2030.

“The local agriculture, mining and forestry sectors in Manicaland offer great opportunities for youths to do business. This can see them contribute meaningfully to the country’s economic growth,” said Cde Sakupwanya.

He commended the Government for including youths in development programmes.
