Youths want more land

Youths in Farming Organisation held a conference recently and resolved that more land was supposed to be given to the youths.
They said they did not benefit much when the country embarked on the fast-track land reform.
The conference was held under the theme: “fighting sanctions and poverty through food security”.
“The youths call on the Government to give first priority to the youths as Government allocates land yet to be occupied,” said the youths in a statement.
“The youths also call on the Government to downsize some of the farms which are not being utilised by some of the beneficiaries of the land reform.”
The organisation also hailed the indigenisation and economic empowerment programme.
