Content creation knows no age limit.

As the technological winds of change sweep across the social media landscape, new celebrities are emerging every day.

Social media has given rise to talents we never dreamed we would encounter.

This wave has allowed many in the creative sector to realise they were sitting on gold, as they now monetise their creations.

Even the elderly have joined this movement, with Gogo Ladyzw being a recent example.

However, it is five-year-old YouTuber Atida “Aay Jay” Nyoni who has truly captured the attention of social media.

At such a tender age, the little boy’s eagerness to impress his fans remains unmatched.

His mother, Vimbai Makawa, who accompanied him for an interview, could not hide her admiration for Atida.

His love for acting is beyond words as he creates new skits from scratch.

Unlike seasoned comedians, he doesn’t need a script; his creations come effortlessly, defying his age.

Besides acting, he enjoys singing and storytelling, making Atida a multifaceted talent.

His teachers at Marlborough Primary School in Harare are proud of him.

He even caught the attention of superstar Jah Prayzah by performing one of his songs titled “Ibvo” from his latest album, “Ndini Mukudzei,” a clip that has gone viral.

All these traits have also drawn the attention of his mother and grandmother, Letwinnie Makawa Ndebele, who are also content creators.

With this level of talent, there is a need to safeguard and ensure that it reaches its full potential.

“I love acting, singing and dancing to any song that is danceable,” chuckled Atida.

The internet sensation, whose career is managed by his mother, firmly believes he is a game-changer in content creation.

“My mother is the one who identified my talent and helps me, although I can create jokes from nothing.

“My passion for all this started when I was only four years old, and I have never looked back since then.

“I work with my grandmother (MaSibanda Dr Amai), a popular content creator, and our skits dubbed ‘Makanika’ garnered 1.2 million views within a week,” explained the little content creator while his mother nodded in agreement.

The enterprising boy has participated in several competitions, promotional materials and advertisements.

“I featured in King Kurls, National Foods competitions, Precita Diapers, and Dent Doctors,” shared the little boy.

When asked about his performance in school, he responded confidently, stating, “I am good in school; you can ask my class teacher, Madam Madondo, who encourages me to keep doing what I love.

“When I come back from school, my mother makes sure that I have enough time to sleep and rest before I join others to play some games. I thoroughly enjoy what I am doing, and this has made creation easier.”

The little boy was candid about his role model:

“I love Jah Prayzah; I like him. Anonakidza.”

Like any other kid, Atida is a foodie with his own taste preferences.

“I love sausage and chicken,” he stated.

Regarding his dream job, he added, “I want to be a firefighter when I grow up.”

At only five, Atida is not only an internet sensation but also has what it takes to make an impression at the highest level in the creative sector.

With the monetisation of his skits under his mother’s management, Atida is determined to reach the top.

To say that Atida is a little creative genius would be an understatement; perhaps “game-changer” in the world of content creation is the right phrase to sum it all up.
