Zimbabwean filmmakers stand a chance to extend their reach in the territory by participating at the upcoming Shungu Namutitima (Smoke that Thunders) International Film Festival to be held in Zambia later this year.
The festival’s organisers Vilole Images Productions are currently inviting Africa film makers to submit documentaries, short films and full-length feature films.
While international filmmakers are also being encouraged to participate, only African films will be legible for the competition that will run on the sidelines of the festival that takes place in August.
The aim of the festival is to provide a platform for skills development and promotion of the film industry. The intention is to use the festival to build new relationships to enable producers buy, sell and promote their products and exchange ideas on an international scale but in an African context
