Zanu-PF calls for peace

The Zanu-PF Mashonaland West provincial leadership has called for peace and order in Kadoma amid divisions that are threatening the smooth operations of the party. Provincial chairperson Cde Ziyambi Ziyambi recently visited Kadoma to rein in on the few party members that are reportedly causing the divisions.

It is believed that the infighting has affected the party’s restructuring exercise. Cde Ziyambi, however, called for an urgent resolution of the matter, especially ahead of the forthcoming harmonised elections.

“As people of Kadoma, we need to unite and learn to forgive each other. I understand that some of you are always fighting for positions, but that should cease forthwith. Let us resolve whatever issues we have amicably,” he said.

Cde Ziyambi pledged to personally meet some of the notable culprits accused of fanning divisions and infighting in Kadoma. He urged aspiring candidates to stop campaigning before getting the green light from the party leadership.

“As a party, we are currently campaigning for our First Secretary and President Cde Mnangagwa. Our youths have been successfully doing just that through the #EDHasMyVote campaign,” he said.

“#EDHasMyVote, is one of the campaign strategies adopted by the youths, which is focusing on mobilising support ahead of the forthcoming elections in July or August this year.”

Separately, the provincial youth chairperson, Cde Vengai Musengi, who also met the Kadoma youth leadership last week, tasked them to seriously mobilise people as the district was lagging behind.

“We cannot win an election without the people. An election is a game of numbers and other administrative districts, especially rural ones. Youth leaders are mobilising people, but here in Kadoma a lot of work needs to be done,” he said.

Provincial youth political commissar Cde Tapiwa Chitate, who was accompanying Cde Musengi, said leaders should be committed to working for the party.
