He said what was important was to unite and fight the real opposition.
Cde Mau Mau who was speaking at a rally in Greendale, said the losers and winners were all Zanu-PF candidates, hence it was imperative to work together to oust MDC-T from the constituency.
“I had five days to prepare unlike other candidates but now it doesn’t matter I may have insulted my opponents during the campaign process but it is now water under the bridge.
“We should all forget what happened during the primary election period.
“We should unite and vote for Cde Mangondo… it is not time for divisions. If we are united we will win as a party,” he said.
Cde Mangondo echoed Cde Mau Mau’s sentiments and thanked all who voted for him and those who participated in the primary elections.
He said it was time for the MDC-T to be ousted and urged the Greendale community to register to vote before July 9.
“If you do not register before that date it means you will not vote this year. Voting is your right so use it. Everyone has been given ample time to register to vote,” he said.
The winning candidate for Ward 9 in the Zanu-PF primaries Reverend Amos Chaniwa said MDC-T was not a principled party and voting for it was tantamount to betraying the wishes of the gallant sons and daughters who fought for the liberation of the country.
He said Zanu PF had the capacity and calibre to win the forthcoming elections if all its members registered to vote.
The party has urged its members who lost in primary elections to unite with winning candidates in order not to split votes.
