ZANU-PF has completed its ongoing restructuring exercise in 21 of the 35 districts in Manicaland, amid expectations that the process will come to an end in the remaining districts this weekend. Zanu-PF provincial secretary for administration, Cde Kenneth Saruchera, confirmed that they had covered most parts of the province and the outstanding districts were mainly in Mutare Urban, Makoni and Nyanga.
“I think the process has been going on smoothly. I can safely say we have covered 97 percent of the districts given that even in the remaining districts work has already been done and what remains is just finalising the process.
“So far, 21 out of 35 districts have been completed. We are left with 14, but in those 14 districts we have covered considerable ground. We have finished in Buhera, Zimunya/Marange, Chipinge, Chimanimani and Mutasa.
“We are now left with Mutare Urban, Makoni and Nyanga. We are expecting to complete the process in those three districts this weekend,” said Cde Saruchera.
The restructuring exercise at district level was being monitored by provincial officials from other provinces.
Officials from Masvingo Province monitored the process in Buhera, Chipinge and Chimanimani, while provincial officials from Mashonaland Central were in Nyanga.
Officials from Mashonaland East monitored the process in Zimunya/Marange, Mutare Urban and Makoni.
