Zanu-PF deserved win

Chiefs in the Midlands province have applauded Zanu-PF for relentlessly fighting for the nation’s sovereignty as well as safeguarding the nation’s heritage by defeating MDC-T’s Western-sponsored regime change agenda. In an interview on the sidelines of the provincial elections for the senatorial representatives in the Chief’s Council in Gweru, Chief Ntabeni said President Mugabe and Zanu-PF deserved to win after initiating empowerment programmes aimed at transforming rural lives for the better.
Chief Ntabeni was elected to represent Midlands alongside Chief Ngungumbane.

He said Zanu-PF had always respected the chiefs’ opinion and was keen to preserve African culture while MDC-T had nothing to offer.
Chief Ntabeni also said the chiefs always rallied behind President Mugabe and Zanu-PF because of its commitment to transforming the rural people’s lives through its people-centred policies and empowerment programmes.

“As chiefs, we would want to acknowledge that the recently held harmonised elections were peaceful. We are pleased that Zanu-PF has won resoundingly. We have always wanted Zanu-PF to win because it has the people at heart. The party has fought relentlessly to safeguard the national heritage. We are now benefiting from our own resources through the community share ownership trust schemes set up by Zanu-PF,” he said.
