Zanu-PF holds successful inter-district meetings

Zanu-PF Midlands Province successfully held five inter-district party meetings last week which were aimed at apprising members of the socio-political and economic situation prevailing in the country.

The meetings were held from Wednesday to Friday last week in Nembudziya in Gokwe South, Zhombe, Zvishavane, Mberengwa and Shurugwi.

Addressing party supporters in Zhombe and Gokwe, Politburo member and Secretary for Liaison and Economic Affairs Cde Mike Bimha urged them to remain united and support President Mnangagwa’s vision of a peaceful and united Zimbabwe.

He said party supporters should remain steadfast and supportive of the President’s socio-economic development vision as the country embarks on an economy recovery journey.

“I would like to urge party members to remain united and work together towards achieving President Mnangagwa’s vision of a peaceful and united Zimbabwe,” said Cde Bimha.

“If we are not united, we will fall, but if we are united we can conquer everything.

“As a party, we should remain steadfast and put our trust in the austerity measures that have been put in place as the country embarks on a journey to a positive economic trajectory.”

Cde Bimha said President Mnangagwa’s Government is committed to improving lives of people through coming up with developmental projects.

“Zanu-PF is jointly working with Government to improve the welfare of citizens in the province by setting up development projects that will systematically and strategically contribute towards the resuscitation of the economy,” he said.

Cde Bimha said the distribution of farming inputs under the Presidential Inputs Support Scheme should be done fairly.

“Every farmer is entitled to receive farming inputs from the Presidential Inputs Support Scheme,” he said.

“No one should be denied inputs because of their political affiliation or any other reason. President Mnangagwa said everyone should be given inputs.”

The meetings were attended by senior party officials from the province, including provincial chairperson Engineer Daniel Mackenzie Ncube.
