ZANU PF’s national and provincial leadership is touring various projects in Chinhoyi that President Mnangagwa is expected to officiate during the party’s 23rd National People’s Conference later this month.

The conference will be held in the provincial capital from October 12 to 17. Among the projects visited on Friday was the Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital oxygen plant, which has a production capacity of 800 litres per day.

The plant is expected to meet the oxygen requirements of Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital, as well as district and mission hospitals across the province.

The delegation, led by ZANU PF director-general Cde Tadiwanashe Chadenga, also toured the ongoing Chinhoyi water reticulation project, which is expected to help address the city’s perennial water challenges.

The water project is part of the party’s legacy projects for Chinhoyi. The delegation also visited the 28-hectare Trabablas City development by Vinecity, where at least 370 residential stands are expected to be created.

President Mnangagwa is expected to officiate at the groundbreaking ceremony for the development during the conference.

Other projects toured include the Chinhoyi Golf Course, where the Munhumutapa Golf Tournament is expected to be launched, student hostels and accommodation facilities, as well as road infrastructure currently undergoing upgrading.

The Mashonaland West delegation is being led by ZANU PF provincial chairman Senator Mary Mliswa-Chikoka and Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Marian Chombo.
