Zanu-Pf nullifies Chiyangwa’s election

party.
“There were reports recently that Cde Chiyangwa was elected as the vice chairman for Mashonaland West Province. The Politburo on Wednesday reviewed that case and nullified the election.
“The decision was today endorsed by the Central Committee. Cde Chiyangwa will remain as an ordinary member of the party until further notice,” he said.
Cde Gumbo said the election of Cde Chiyangwa as vice chairman was not done according to party procedure because he was readmitted into the party as an ordinary member.
He said the Central Committee tasked party national commissar Cde Webster Shamu to investigate the election of other members who were elected on March 16. Other members who were elected together with Cde Chiyangwa include Cde Table Tapera (secretary for administration), Cde Joseph Chirongoma (political commissar) and Cde Clever Zinyemba (secretary for transport).
Cde Gumbo said Cde Shamu will also work on the date to elect a new vice chairman. He said the election of Cde Chiyangwa was done basing on a letter written by Cde (Didymus) Mutasa that said he was readmitted into the party. Cde Mutasa could not be reached last night.
