ZANU-PF has started working towards fulfilling promises made in its election manifesto to economically empower the people as well as creating employment, Small and Medium Enterprises and Cooperative Development Minister, Sithembiso Nyoni has said. Speaking at a meeting with stakeholders in Gweru recently, Cde Nyoni said President Mugabe had already ordered ministers to deliver their mandate to ensure that the promises made are realised.

“President Mugabe has called upon each one of us to ensure that the promises in the manifesto are granted. We have an imperative task to deliver as Government.

“As Zanu-PF we must ensure our targets are grounded and implemented,” she said.

Cde Nyoni urged civil servants to also complement Government efforts to develop the country’s economy by appropriately performing their mandate.

“There are civil servants who want to block development, frustrate and sabotage the Government. Civil servants must be poised to serve the public each time they are asked for assistance.

“We have heard of situations where people take long to be attended to when they visit Government offices. We must be professional,” she said.
