HUNDREDS of Zanu-PF supporters thronged Combo Clinic in Insiza District on Sunday to celebrate the election of Cde Edith Gumbo as the councillor for Ward 22. Addressing party supporters, the Member of the National Assembly for Insiza North, Cde Andrew Langa, who was the guest of honour, commended residents for voting for Zanu-PF
“We want to thank the people of Ward 22 for voting for Zanu-PF and we promise to deliver. Our policies are very clear and we are going to make sure that everything that we promised the people will be fulfilled,” said Cde Langa, who is also the Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture.
He challenged the councillors to develop their wards. Cde Langa said no individual had power to allocate or repossess land.
“No one has the power to repossess land or resettle people except the Government. Those who want land should go through proper channels,” he said.
Cde Langa applauded the land reform programme which also benefited villagers of Ward 22.
