ZANU PF secretary for Education, Research and Ideology Cde Charles Tawengwa has urged party districts to ensure that cell records are authentic, verifiable and accurately recorded on the National Cell Day.

Speaking at the Zanu PF Harare  Provincial Inter-District meeting yesterday, Cde Tawengwa said that all party structures should intensify membership registration, strengthen cell structures and remain focused on mobilisation as the Government works towards future electoral victories in line with Vision 2030.

Ahead of the National Cell Day set for June 27, Cde Tawengwa called upon party leaders to work closely with communities and listen to their concerns.

He emphasised the importance of the Cell and Village Verification exercise, noting that it was extensively discussed by the party leadership and remains critical in strengthening the grassroots structures.

Cde Tawengwa also took the opportunity to congratulate President Mnangagwa on Zimbabwe’s successful election to the United Nations Security Council as a non-permanent member, attributing the achievement to the country’s foreign policy on engagement and re-engagement.

Harare provincial chairman Cde Godwills Masimirembwa stated that Zanu PF owes its strength and resilience to its intricate and robust cell structures.

“It is no secret that the formidable strength of our revolutionary party lies in its cells, which form the foundation of our organisational machinery”

“For this reason, we attach great importance to the authenticity and Verification of our cell and Village structures. Those entrusted with this important exercise must carry it out with diligence, honesty and commitment. The guide to chairpersons is intended to provide a simplified understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and expectations necessary to build strong and effective party structures,” said Cde Masimirembwa.

The meeting was attended by Zanu PF deputy secretary for Security Cde Tendai Chirau; deputy secretary for Economic Affairs Cde Andy Mhlanga; Zanu PF Women’s League secretary for External Affairs Cde Betty Kaseke; Zanu PF political commissar Cde Voyage Dambuza, among others.
