ZANU PF War Veterans League National Political Commissar Cde Ntombiyakhe Ndlovu has introduced life-changing projects in Mangwe District, Matabeleland South Province, in a bid to empower the local community.
Cde Ndlovu, working closely with the Community Action Group for ED, held a groundbreaking ceremony at Mpalawali Luzibo Community Centre where a number of projects will be implemented. These include goat rearing, crop farming, fish farming, and poultry production in Osabeni Village on Saturday.

The event coincided with her 66th belated birthday celebrations, which were held at Osabeni Primary School.
During the occasion, Cde Ndlovu donated US$300 for the purchase of stationery for vulnerable children at the school.
Speaking after the groundbreaking ceremony, which was officiated by Matabeleland South Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Albert Nguluvhe, Cde Ndlovu said she received a donation of land from the traditional leadership, which she offered to the community to undertake productive activities.
*”I was donated land by Chief Wasi which measures 10 kilometres by 7 kilometres. This land will be used for a number of purposes which include goat rearing, crop farming, fish farming, poultry farming and brick moulding. We will also set up a vocational training centre in the area.
We are doing all this so that we alleviate poverty in the rural areas at the same time fighting drug and substance abuse by the youths,”* said Cde Ndlovu.
Cde Ndlovu said the development is in line with President Mnangagwa’s vision of an upper middle-income economy by 2030.
*”Land is a critical component of economic prosperity and with these projects we are going to push towards sustainable economic growth.
Working closely with Community Action Group for ED, we have managed to secure a solarised borehole from Prevail that will be put to good use in making these projects fruitful,”* said Cde Ndlovu.
