Zanu PF Youth Assembly highlights empowerment

The President and First Secretary of the ruling party will deliver the keynote address at the event.

Delegates from across Zimbabwe are already tricking in, using the time ahead of the meeting to interact and discuss key issues.

The assembly is expected to focus on youth participation in national development, including the role of young people within the ruling party, an area that has gained increasing emphasis under the Second Republic.

The discussion is also expected to highlight programmes aimed at empowering the youth through employment creation, entrepreneurship, and skills development.

President pushes ahead with youth empowerment

President Mnangagwa has introduced several programmes aimed at empowering young people through employment creation, entrepreneurship and skills development initiatives designed to help young people acquire practical abilities that can improve their livelihoods.

These efforts, officials say, are meant to ensure the youth remain central to the country’s growth agenda by turning education and training into real pathways for self-employment and sustained income generation.

Against this backdrop, today’s Zanu PF National Youth Assembly is expected to go a step further by reaffirming the party’s continued commitment to youth inclusion and mobilisation.

Cde Chiwetu leads introductions as Zanu PF youths rally behind President, CAB3

Zanu PF Youth League Secretary for Administration, Cde Tendai Chiwetu led an energetic introduction session, with provincial youth chairpersons taking turns to chant slogans and greet President Mnangagwa.

The session was marked by singing, dancing and repeated displays of support for the President by delegates drawn from all the country’s 10 provinces.

Delegates frequently broke into song praising President Mnangagwa, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the introductions segment.

All the provinces also reiterated their support for Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3, commonly referred to as CAB3, which is now set for its first reading in Parliament.

The proceedings at times turned emotional as youths openly expressed their loyalty and support for the President and his administration’s empowerment programmes.

“As you have seen, Your Excellency, the youths are with you and they are behind CAB3,” he said.

“The youths are very happy with the youth empowerment projects you started. The US$2 million that you have set aside for us is really changing lives.”

Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi speaks on CAB3 public consultations

The Constitutional Amendment Bill No 3 got overwhelming support during public consultations,

Zanu PF Secretary for Legal Affairs Cde Ziyambi Ziyambi said.

Speaking as a special guest invited by the Youth League to give feedback on the Bill, Cde Ziyambi said the process was above board as evidenced by support from both the party and the public.
Parliament is now in the process of sorting the submissions.

“The process was smooth and the Bill got overwhelming support,” he said.

“We will continue to give you feedback as we continue but I want to empasise that due to his good leadership, the people have asked the President to continue to 2030.”

“We will be with you to the end”: Minister Machakaire reaffirms Youth League support for President Mnangagwa

Zanu PF Secretary for Youth Affairs and Minister of Youth and Vocational Training Tino Machakaire says the Youth League will continue supporting President Mnangagwa and Constitutional Amendment Bill 3 (CAB3).

Addressing delegates, Minister Machakaire said the Youth League had benefited significantly from President Mnangagwa’s leadership and was now reciprocating the support through its backing of his programmes and vision.

“Now we have land, we have tractors, we have trucks, we have boreholes and we have been empowered and we are saying continue with these projects Your Excellency,” he said.

“As the Youth League, we will be with you in hot, cold or wet weather.”

Minister Machakaire said the gains recorded by the youths under the Second Republic had strengthened the league’s commitment to the President and his developmental agenda.

He also said while all leaders make history, only revolutionaries like President Mnangagwa deserve to be written about in books.
