Zanu PF youths explore business opportunities

Youths should make use of social media to utilise business opportunities available in the country instead of focusing on detrimental issues which tarnish the image of the country.

This was said by Zanu PF Harare Province Youth League chairman Cde Emmanuel Mahachi ahead of a youth economic empowerment interactive meeting in the capital today.

The meeting is aimed at educating young people on how to tap into business opportunities availed by the Second Republic and was organised by provincial youth executive member, Cde Gabriel Togarepi.

Organisations such as the Youth Business League also attended the meeting and showcased their products.  

Speaking at the interactive meeting,  Cde Mahachi said social networking platforms were supposed to play pivotal roles in mass mobilisation and information sharing instead of being used to advance the nefarious agendas of the country’s detractors.

“Social media is a good platform, but information needs to be channelled and disseminated appropriately to connect with people but if used recklessly, it can also create disharmony within the country.

 “We are calling upon our youths to use social media to advance Government policies instead of using hate speeches which divide the people. 

“We want our youth to make use of the social media to lure young people to join the revolutionary Zanu PF party,” said Cde Mahachi.  

 Cde Togarepi said the interactive meeting was the first of its kind in Harare

“We want to open avenues for our youths and we will help them on how to start businesses with the help of the Women’s Bank and the Youth Empowerment Bank. 

“For those who want to seek assistance to secure loans from the banks, we are eager to assist them. We have a team which is assisting the youths to draft project proposals so that they can secure loans from the banks,” said Cde Togarepi.

He said the Second Republic was availing opportunities in all sectors of the economy including mining, agriculture, retailing and transport.       

“As the youths, we stand in solidarity with President Mnangagwa and the party leadership from the cell structure as we are going towards the 2023 harmonised elections.”
