Cde Omar said this at a function to unveil a primary school he built in Granary Park recently.
The school which is called J.S Omar Primary School would help to uplift the lives of ordinary people in Harare.
“There is no better way of empowering people than giving them education. This school is opening this year and we are giving some of the pupils here scholarships.
“We are working hard to fulfill the aspirations of our great visionary leader President Mugabe that we should be masters of our own destiny.”
The school which is valued at US$3 million will start by enrolling 600 pupils this year.
Apart from building the school, Cde Omar issued out commercial stands to more than 35 of his employees.
He said people should not continue working for others, but graduate to become employers.
“Employment, yes, it’s good, but people should not only think of being employed all the time.
“After working for some time, one should graduate to become an employer and help others to realise their dreams.
“I am working with several young business people in Masvingo who are now employers in their own right and that is what Zanu-PF is advocating for,” he said.
Cde Omar said Zanu-PF would win this year’s elections because the MDC formations had nothing to offer to the electorate.
He said most people had realised benefits of the land reform programme.
“Zanu-PF works for the people and all of its policies are designed at benefiting Zimbabweans.
“We have sound policies that benefited people such as the land reform and people are now reaping benefits of such policies,” he said.
