During the handover ceremony, Mr Kumbirai Chiganze, ZB business development executive encouraged other corporates to take part in looking after the society, as it is everyone’s responsibility.
The home was asked to compile a wish list before the purchase of the donations and top on the list were the groceries and some form of entertainment facility for the children.
Mrs Stella Faranisi the Director for Tose Respite Care Home thanked ZB Financial Holdings for coming to their rescue with an early Christmas present. She explained the need for participation in taking care of the handicapped by the society at large. In her speech she also indicated that most of the disabilities that she comes across are preventable if proper health facilities are availed during pregnancy and subsequent delivery of children. The chairman of Tose Respite Mr Solomon Zawe said the donation had gone a long way in lifting the morale of the children at the facility.
“This donation will go a long way in the eyes and minds of Tose and the nation at large for the betterment of disabled children. Your partnership is well appreciated by the board, the staff and the children too.”
Research has shown that in Zimbabwe there are over 750 000 physically handicapped people who require the facilities that are offered by Tose Rehabilitation Home.
