Zimbabwe international left-back Jordan Zemura has been hailed for his performances for Premier League club Bournemouth.

The 22-year-old had an assist when his club drew 1-1 against Newcastle over the weekend.

He was also listed as one of the top-performing African players in Europe by SuperSport.

“It has been a tough old campaign for Bournemouth so far, but there have been signs since the sacking of manager Scott Parker they might just be OK,” wrote SuperSport.

“Central to any success they will have is left-back Zemura, who was both a scorer and assister of goals in last season’s promotion push.

“He was at it again on Sunday, his cross from the left allowing Dane Philip Billing to steer the ball into the net against Newcastle United.

“At just 22, Zemura has a big future in the game and he was voted Man of the Match by Cherries fans after the 1-1 draw at St James’ Park.”

The other Africans mentioned include Inaki Williams of Ghana and Athletic Bilbao, M’bala Nzola (Angola and Spezia), Taiwo Awoniyi (Nigeria and Nottingham Forest), Mouctar Diakhaby (Guinea and Valencia), and Nigerian Alex Iwobi who has revived his career at Everton.
