Zent ISO re-certified

Engineer Simba Mangwengwende said Zesa Enterprises should not only continue to focus on the production of transformers but strive to ensure local production of all equipment required in the electrical sector.
“It is our expectation that Zesa Enterprises will not only excel in the manufacture of transformers. This country should boast all distribution lines. The country should become a centre of technology excellence in Africa,” he said.
Eng Mangwengwende said Zesa Enterprises’ ISO re-certification was a step towards bigger achievements.
SAZ quality assurance director Mr Sebastian Zuze said they had assessed Zesa Enterprises’ capability to supply quality products.
“Certification such as the one we are recognising today is testimony of Zent’s commitment to delivering value to the customer and provides a means of demonstrating the organisation’s desire to meet customer needs. It is crucial to note that Zent’s diverse customers point directly to Zimbabwe’s productive capacity,” he said.
Mr Zuze said throughout the world companies were investing in quality because customers were making stringent demands.
He said the effect of adopting quality standards at personal, family, community, business and national level was a net output of world-class products and services.
