Zera announces marginal increase in fuel price

THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) has reviewed fuel prices for diesel and blend both in local currency and US dollar, effective 5 November 2024.

In a statement, Zera said in local currency, diesel 50 went from ZWG 38,03 per litre to ZWG 41, 01 while Blend (E20) went up from ZWG 37,70 per litre to ZWG 40,62.

The US dollar price of diesel 50 is now US$ 1,52 per litre from US$1,50, while blend (E20) is now pegged at US$1,51 from US$1,49. Zera further noted that the prices are for November 2024 based on M-1 and they will be effective up to 4 December 2024.

“The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio is at E20,”read the statement.

“Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations”.

Blending of fuel is exclusively conducted by licensed blenders only who abide by and comply with Zera regulations.
