THE Zimbabwe Handball Federation will have to wait a bit longer before they publish their calendar of events for this year.
The new board, led by Stewart Sanhewe, is expected to have a general meeting on January 28.
“Things have been tight since we were elected and we are trying to put our house in order in terms of organising and planning,” said Sanhewe.
“We are determined to raise handball from a minor sport to a bigger activity and to do that we need strategic planning and will never accomplish anything leaving things half done.”
The leadership came into office on December 3 last year and will be in charge of handball for the next four years.
A number of junior players have been competing regionally with the new president promising to unveil a masterplan for the domestic game.
