ZIFA communications manager Xolisani Gwesela has revealed that the countryas football mother body once again had no budget to exhibit at the 2017 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).
The associationas empty stand is a stoneas throw away from the Premier Soccer League stand in Hall Four.
a?We did not exhibit at the Trade Fair in 2015 and 2016 because of financial challenges that bedevilled the football motherbody. For the 2017 edition, we also did not exhibit because we did not have a budget. However, we will bounce back next year,a? said Gwesela.
An empty and Zifa-branded stand at the ZITF made a mockery of the business approach that the association has always been preaching, claiming that it had adopted in a bid to develop the game across the length and breadth of the country.
However, the Premier Soccer League stand attracted hordes of football lovers.
The PSL exhibited at the ZITF for the first time in 2014 and this came a year after Zifa also exhibited at the countryas premier shop window.
