ZIFA Southern Region Division One Soccer League clubs will know their 2015 season kickoff date when they meet in Bulawayo for their annual general meeting next Saturday. The clubs will learn how much they will pay in affiliation fees which were raised to $2,500 from $1,800 for old clubs last season while league debutantes had to fork out $3,000. Clubs in the sponsor-less league struggled to pay the fees .

Musa Mandaza, chairman of the Zifa Southern Region said they have notified their affiliates about the meeting.

“Our annual general meeting is on next weekend. All our affiliates and strategic partners have been notified about the meeting. This is where we will reveal our plans for the year, the budget and when the season will kick off. We will also be welcoming new teams into the league,” Mandaza said.

Bulawayo City, formerly known as BCC Golden Stars and Magwegwe Pirates won promotion from the Zifa Bulawayo Division Two with Matabeleland North’s newcomers being Victoria Falls’ Amagagasi and Makomo FC of Hwange. The Southern region also welcomes Bantu Rovers who were relegated from the Premiership at a time Tsholotsho FC gained promotion.

Mandaza will present his report while former referee Bryton Malandule will present the financial report.
