ONE of ZIFA’s vice-president eying female candidate Loveness Mukura has promised to introduce an equal pay structure for both male and female footballers.
Currently, there is a huge remuneration gulf between the two genders regardless of the fact that they both play in the elite division or for the same national teams.
The 28-year-old Herentals Queens chief executive officer has already managed to bring the equal pay system at Herentals and she says she will bring the same at national level upon her election.
Mukura is also a footballer at the dominant side which has won three Women’s Soccer League championships in a row losing just two games over the past three years.
“Yes, this is what we will bring across the board. We need all footballers to feel equally important at every level regardless of their gender,” she said.
“We are preaching inclusivity and we will implement exactly that.”
